The Auto-Ignite Flame Control System — How It Works
The 58092's fire system is not a simple match-lit burner — it's Aquascape's full Auto-Ignite Flame Control System with push-button electronic ignition and active flame monitoring. Here's what that means in practice:
- Push-button start, no matches required. Press the igniter button on the control panel to open the gas valve and spark the burner simultaneously. The flame is visible and fully active within 2–3 seconds under normal conditions. No open flame tools, no manual lighting, no residual gas exposure from failed lighting attempts.
- Thermocouple sensor continuously monitors the flame. The thermocouple generates a small electrical current when heated by the flame. If the current drops (wind extinguishes the flame, gas pressure fluctuates, or flame lifts off the burner), the safety valve automatically closes the gas supply within seconds. This prevents unburned propane from accumulating around the feature during an outage — the system's primary safety mechanism.
- Propane standard; natural gas convertible. The 58092 ships configured for liquid propane with a 10-foot regulator hose for a standard 20-lb tank.
