Water spills over the 22" Waterfall Spillway Diffuser and flows down a natural rock streambed, then "disappears" into a gravel-covered in-ground basin. Underground, it is stored in the 2 Small AquaBlox® modules and recirculated by the EcoWave 2000 pump housed in the Pondless Waterfall Vault. The "disappearing" effect is created by covering the AquaBlox basin and Vault with decorative gravel and flat stones at grade level, so only the stream above ground is visible. The Vault's inspection cap lets you monitor water level and access the pump without disturbing the stone surface above.
