Can the Atlantic 12” Basin be built into a retaining wall?
Yes. The CFBASIN12 rigid basin is designed for integration with garden block and hardscape retaining wall construction. Its one-piece construction and built-in plumbing channels accommodate installation directly within a block wall system. The basin can be set at grade with the wall built around it, or installed slightly below grade for a more concealed look.
For above-ground or deck applications, the basin can also be placed on a level surface with the basin deck flush to the paving or stone surround. The Anti-Splash Mat covers the deck for a clean, finished appearance.
Does the AF1000 AutoFill eliminate manual refilling?
The AF1000 AutoFill valve connects to a standard garden hose or irrigation supply line and automatically tops off the basin as water evaporates or is lost to minor splash. Under normal operating conditions with the CFSPMA12 Anti-Splash Mat installed, you should not need to manually refill the 18-gallon basin.
Note: The AF1000 requires a connected water supply to function. It does not store water — it feeds water into the basin on demand as the level drops below a set threshold. Check the supply connection periodically during the season to confirm it remains active.

No — the “12 inch” refers to the compatible spillway width, not the basin diameter. The CFBASIN12 basin is 20”L × 20”W × 16”H (a square footprint, not a round basin).

Yes. The CFBASIN12 can be installed above or below ground. For above-grade installations (deck features, patio surfaces, or raised hardscape), set the basin on a level, stable surface and build your stone, tile, or block surround directly against the basin exterior. The basin’s flat deck accepts stone or gravel covering for a concealed look at grade.
For in-ground installations, excavate to the basin dimensions (20”×20”×16”H) plus a few inches for leveling material. Set the basin level, backfill around the sides, and install the splash mat and stone cover over the deck.
Does this kit include the Colorfalls spillway?
