How the Elite Small Cascading Falls System Works
The PB1229 creates a pondless (disappearing) waterfall: water flows over the 14" Elite Spillway and into an in-ground basin hidden entirely below gravel and stone. The reservoir is invisible — only the flowing waterfall is visible in the finished installation.
- Excavation & liner: Dig a basin sized for the two Small Basin Matrix boxes and Mini Pump Canyon. Lay the protective underliner, then the 10’×15’ PondGard EPDM liner over the top.
- Reservoir: Place the two Small Basin Matrix boxes on the liner. These modular boxes create the underground water storage volume. Fill the surrounding space with washed gravel to conceal the system.
- Pump vault: The ClearWater 2,340 GPH pump sits inside the Mini Elite Pump Canyon® on the liner, submerged and protected. Access the pump through the Canyon lid for maintenance without disturbing stone.
- Plumbing: The pump discharge assembly (with check valve) connects to the 1.5"×25’ Black Flex PVC pipe, which runs up the slope to the 14" Elite Spillway Box at the top of the waterfall.
