Startup & Season Use
- Build the pond. Set the Signature Series 1000 Skimmer and 6000 BioFalls®, lay the 25'×30' 45-mil EPDM liner over the underlayment, and connect the AquaSurge® adjustable-flow pump with the included 2"×50' PVC.
- Fill it, then dose Detoxifier first. As you add tap or well water, treat it with Pond Detoxifier (1 pump per 100 gallons — about 50 pumps for a full 5,000-gal fill) so chlorine, chloramine, and metals can't harm fish or stall your biology.
- Seed Starter Bacteria. Add Pond Starter Bacteria (1 pump per 100 gallons) near the waterfall or skimmer return and aerate for 24 hours to establish the biological filter; re-dose weekly for the first two weeks.
- Keep dosing through the season. Re-treat with Detoxifier on every water change or large top-off, and use the remaining Starter Bacteria to re-seed after clean-outs. The gallon sizes mean you won't run out mid-summer.
